A RESEARCH ON LY ONG TRONG THROUGH VIETNAMESE AND CHINESE HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS

Abstract

Lý Ông Trọng is one of the most popular people who has been worshiped as God
in Vietnamese culture and history. He has also been called Lý Thân in several historical
documents found in China. This paper focuses on researching Lý Ông Trọng in terms of
his life recorded in cultural and historical documents in Vietnam. These findings are also
compared to his life as Lý Thân appeared in Chinese culture in order to recognise his
contribution and achievements for the history of boht countries.
