OVERVIEW OF UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

Abstract

The paper presents an overview of the university information management system (UMIS). Management information system (MIS) provides necessary information for the management and administration of an organization/enterprise. A university is an educational organization that needs a UMIS to increase efficiency in implementation and management of activities. The structure and construction cycle for an UMIS is also
presented in this paper. The outcome of this study provides a useful methodology for successfully building and implementing a UMIS at the university.
