POETIC THINKING OF VAN CAO

Abstract

    Van Cao has made prominent contributions to poetry, but the study of his poetry has not yet received adequate attention. Approaching Van Cao's poetry from the aspect of poetic thinking helps interpret the depths of creativity in his works, thereby observing the changes of concepts, perspectives and plentiful of manifestations in Van Cao’s world of art. Here, we do not consider poetic thinking in terms of categories. Instead, we focus on analyzing the expressions of Van Cao's poetic thinking through his world of poetic art. By using systematic methods and taking a historical perspective, the article analyzes the characteristics of Van Cao's poetic thinking through his creating stages to point out his own uniqueness and contributions to the process of modern Vietnamese poetry.
