TYPICALPOLITICAL STRUGGLES N DA NANG URBAN AREA IN THE PERIOD 1954 - 1965
Abstract
During the resistance war against the US to save the country (1954 - 1975), the political struggle in Da Nang urban area took place very enthusiastically, fiercely and continuously; was a sharp attack, directly destroying the enemy's lair, contributing to overthrowing the Saigon governments, from the Ngo Dinh Diem government to the Nguyen Van Thieu government,... In fact, the movement Da Nang urban area (1954 - 1965) made great contributions to the cause of liberating the South and unifying the country; is a unique feature in the historical process of the struggle to defend the country of the Vietnamese people, and deeply inscribed in the history of the struggle for national liberation. The most prominent period in the 1954-1965 period in Da Nang urban area was the struggle for implementation of the Geneva Accords and the struggle for freedom of belief and religious equality in 1963. Researching the political struggle in urban Da Nang (1954 - 1965) contributes to clarifying a heroic historical period in the struggle to defend the country; about the flexibility and initiative of social strata in using forms and measures of struggle, affirming the national character in the resistance war against the US; about the Party's scientific and creative nature in setting out guidelines and policies for the Southern urban movement in general and Da Nang urban area in particular.
