SOME THEORETICAL ISSUES ON MANAGING ENGLISH TEACHING ACTIVITIES IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS TO MEET THE GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM 2018

Abstract
English is a compulsory subject in the General Education Program 2018. English not only helps students form and develop their ability to communicate in English but also contributes to the formation and development of children’s general abilities, to live and work more effectively, to learn well in other subjects as well as for lifelong learning. The manuscript mentions basic theoretical contents about the research issues as: some tool concepts; the roles and meanings of teaching and managing English teaching activities in primary schools according to the General Education Program 2018; basic contents of the General Education Program 2018 for English subject at primary school and requirements for teaching the subject to students; 06 main contents of managing English teaching activities in primary schools meet the General Education Program 2018 following the content management approach. Based on the results of theoretical research, we suppose some recommendations for heads of primary schools to use a number of measures to manage English teaching activities in schools according to the General Education Program 2018 to improve the quality of teaching this subject today.
