Abstract

Researching the story of yin-yang communication through three narrative stories of China, Korea, and Vietnam, including the Story of the peony lamp, the Story about Playing a Game of Jeopo at Manbok Temple, and the Story of the Cotton tree, in terms of title, content, and image construction showed that New Stories After Snuffing the Lamp (Jiandeng Xinhua) had influences on the narrative stories of countries in the East Asian region. However, the authors in these East Asian countries had great innovations and modifications consistent with the cultural and religious life of each country. These innovations and modifications help the genre of narrative story to develop and to become more excellent.
