"The Vietnamese General Education Literature Program" and Literature Textbooks emphasize the training of reading comprehension skills in literary texts. When teaching reading comprehension skills, literature textbook authors pay special attention to providing knowledge about genres and text types. This article focuses on the explanation and expression of terms related to the concept of "genre" in Literature Textbook 6 (Volume 1, Connecting Knowledge and Life). It is hoped that these survey analyzes will be more or less helpful in providing a deeper understanding of subject curricula as well as current Literature Textbooks.
