Abstract

    Organic cinnamon is an agricultural product with great quality, value and export potential of Yen Bai. In recent years, Yen Bai has been promoting the development of organic cinnamon with a production model based on the value chain between farmers, cooperatives and businesses. Yen Bai has issued a number of preferential policies to attract and promote businesses and cooperatives to link with farmers in organic cinnamon production, but the results obtained are still quite modest compared to Yen Bai’ development potential. From the perspective of economic geography and value chain analysis, this article focuses on clarifying the current situation of developing a number of linkage models in organic cinnamon development; Identify limitations in the link chain between farmers and other entities in each link chain. From the research findings, the article proposes some implications to perfect and improve the quality of the organic cinnamon development model along the value chain in Yen Bai province.
