Abstract

Teamwork skills are one of the important social skills that need to be formed early, to help children develop communication, cooperation and problem-solving skills in the integration process. The application of STEAM education method - one of the modern educational methods has an important meaning, to improve the quality of teaching teamwork skills for children. At the practical kindergartens of the Central Pedagogical College, different approaches have been implemented, in which group work skills education for 5-6 year old children through the STEAM education method is being implemented. The study was conducted at 3 practical kindergartens of the Central Pedagogical College, focusing on understanding the current situation of implementing group work skills education for 5-6 year old children through the STEAM education method; combining quantitative and qualitative surveys, collecting opinions from 8 managers and 30 teachers who are teaching 5-6 year old kindergarten classes. The research results show that group work skills education for 5-6 year old children through the STEAM education method at the 3 practical kindergartens has been proactively and actively implemented, but there are still certain limitations, and appropriate management measures are needed to improve the effectiveness of this activity.
