Abstract

In teaching Mathematics to first-grade students using the Ket noi tri thuc voi cuoc song textbook series, the topic “Numbers and Calculations” plays a foundational role in helping learners develop the most basic mathematical knowledge and skills. However, first graders have limited attention spans and may become tired when exposed to abstract concepts. Therefore, incorporating mathematical games into instruction is an effective solution to increase engagement, enhance comprehension, and provide students with opportunities to learn through experience. This paper presents the theoretical basis, implementation process, and effectiveness of using mathematical games in teaching the topic “Numbers and Calculations” to first-grade students.
