Abstract
This study aims to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the current effectiveness of training activities at Hanoi Metropolitan University (HNMU). Specifically, the research focuses on an in-depth analysis and determination of the impact level of key factor groups namely, curriculum, faculty, management procedures, and physical facilities on the overall training effectiveness. The ultimate goal is to provide a solid scientific and practical basis for proposing solutions to enhance educational quality. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, utilizing a quantitative survey administered to a random sample of 200 students using a Likert scale structured questionnaire, alongside in-depth interviews with representative lecturers from various faculties/departments. Data analysis results indicate that the faculty is the factor with the most significant positive impact on training quality, receiving high scores for professional expertise and dedication. However, the overall effectiveness of training activities is currently constrained by two main "bottlenecks": student passivity in learning methods and the limitations of modern physical facilities and equipment for teaching. Furthermore, qualitative findings reveal that the heavy burden of administrative procedures and a lack of incentive mechanisms for innovation pose major barriers to the teaching staff. Based on these findings, the paper proposes key solution clusters, including: digitalizing training management processes, shifting assessment methods toward a competency-based approach, and increasing deep enterprise participation in curriculum development. The research outcomes provide an essential practical foundation for the University to formulate its strategy for elevating educational quality in the coming period.
