RESEARCHING ON STEM MODEL IN TEACHER TRAINING AT HANOI METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY

STEM education is a trend and has been strongly deployed in many countries around the world, especially industrialized countries such as the US, Finland, etc. Vietnam is a country in the process of industrialization. With modernization and international integration, Vietnamese education should not be out of the general trend of the world.
Applying the STEM model is one of the goals of the compulsory education version 2018. To apply this model, we have incorporated the STEM model in the teacher education programs with the aim to train the students to organize STEM activities well after they graduate, which consequently satisfies the education renovation requirements. On the
basis of research on STEM education theory, the article analyzes the scientific basis, practice and proposes a STEM education model in teacher training of Hanoi Metropolitan University.
