RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HUMAN CULTURE AND COMMUNITY TOURISM IN ETHNIC MINORITY AREAS IN VIETNAM

Abstract

In recent years, the development of tourism in the mountain which takes the ethnic culture as the basic element to attract tourists has been taken place in many regions including the border highlands and impoverished ethnic minority areas. Tourism has contributed to improve the living standards, reduce poverty for a part of the mountainous population, and increase revenue for the local budget. However, the opposite effect from tourism to the community and the sustainability of community cultural tourism activities in localities are creating challenges for cultural management and tourism development agenciesin terms of finding solutions to adjust community tourism in local areasin the future.
