ELEMENTS AFFECTING WRITING CAREER OF BICH KHE

Abstract

Bich Khe (1916-1946) was a bright poet in the poetic forum of Vietnam period
1932-1945. With the notion and effort in renovating poetry, especially in symbolic poetry,
Bich Khe contributed to promote poetic history one more step, explore a new world, open
way for Vietnam poetry develop into a new period. Which elements created Bich Khe to be
“supernatural”, like “a strange mountain top”, and became a typical case of symbolic
poetry in Vietnam and much more renovated than any poets at the same age? The article
mentions some elements affecting writing career of poet Bich Khe such as: ages,
hometown, family, friendship, love, demand on actively finding symbolic poetry… All of
them have affected to her writing career.
