APPLYING THE AREA METHOD TO COMPUTE SUMS OF SPECIAL ARITHMETIC PROGRESSIONS AND GEOMETRIC PROGRESSIONS

Abstract

    The area method is commonly used to solve certain classes of geometric problems. It is also a powerful tool in solving algebraic or calculus problems in high school.  In this article, we mention the area method and how to apply it to calculate sums of terms in certain arithmetic progressions and geometric progressions.
