Abstract

In the field of law in general and criminal law in particular, Vietnam has made significant progress in strengthening legal protections for victims of sexual abuse. Through a specific study of legal regulations related to the crime of molestation of individuals under 16, the author recognizes that while these regulations have achieved certain successes, they are still not entirely complete and face many challenges in the practical identification of objective behaviors. Through this article, the author highlights the advantages and remaining limitations of the legal framework concerning the crime of molestation of individuals under 16, and provides several recommendations for improving the law to more effectively address this crime.
