Abstract

The article concludes that Vietnam has to enhance the decentralization in order to build a more effective local government control mechanism. However, the decentralization also leads to difficulties and challenges for the control of local government. This article points out the inadequacies of the Vietnamese local government control mechanism from the perspective of decentralization and devolution and that propers solutions for further improvements of the mechanism are required in Vietnam.
