Abstract

The Ministry of Health has developed a Draft Amendment to modify and supplement several provisions of the Health Insurance Law, which is scheduled to be submitted to the National Assembly at its 7th session in May 2024. However, some provisions in the Draft Law require further study and discussion, drawing on experiences from other countries. Notably, the Federal Republic of Germany, which has the oldest health insurance system in the world, should be considered as a reference. This article focuses on analyzing and comparing Germany's health insurance model, particularly regulations related to the subjects of analysis, the article proposes recommendations for improving the Vietnamese health insurance system
