Abstract

Waste management is one of the most important issues that  most countries in the world, including Vietnam, give special attention to. With the "huge" amount of waste discharged into the environment daily, there is a big question mark in the global management and handling of waste, especially in the era of "Digital conversion", when applying digital technology to waste management is necessary. Digital transformation in waste treatment is the exploitation of the power of technology to improve, innovate, and ensure sustainability in waste management and environmental. This study focuses on solving two main issues: (1) Clarifying the role of digital transformation in waste management through some models around the world; (2) Forecasting some problems that may be encountered during the digital transformation process in waste management.
