Abstract

In recent years, the commune-level police force in Thua Thien Hue province has implemented various measures to prevent drug crimes committed by individuals under 18 years old. This article provides an overview of the situation of drug crimes committed by this age group across the province from 2019 to the end of June 2024. It evaluates the achievements, identifies shortcomings and limitations in the prevention of such crimes under the functions of the commune-level police, and analyzes the causes of these shortcomings. Based on this analysis, the article offers several recommendations and proposals to enhance the effectiveness of drug crime prevention among individuals under 18 years old in Thua Thien Hue province in the future.
