Abstract

The 2023 Law on Real Estate Business has introduced significant amendments recognizing the legal legitimacy of various emerging real estate types in Vietnam, notably office-apartment properties combining office and accommodation functions (officetel). On that basis, this article focuses on examining the current legal framework governing officetel real estate business activities, analyzing the remaining shortcomings, and proposing several recommendations to further improve the legal framework applicable to this type of real estate in Vietnam in the coming period.
