ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR PROJECTS WITH FOREIGN INVESTMENT IN VIETNAM - SOME LEGAL ISSUES

Abstract

Environmental impact assessment plays an important role in ensuring the environmental protection requirements under the impact of investment projects, especially foreign investment projects. However, the current regulations on environmental impact assessment for investment projects still contain many shortcomings, which seriously affect environmental quality. The paper focuses on analyzing, evaluating and pointing out some shortcomings and limitations in the legal regulations on environmental impact assessment for foreign-invested projects in Vietnam, thereby provide some recommendations for improvements.
