Abstract

In this age of international integration, the protection of folklore works holds significant importance for every country. While organizations like WIPO and UNESCO are striving to establish a unified international legal framework, certain countries, including many in Africa, already possess effective legislation that safeguards folklore from uses that may compromise the identity of the community. Within this article, the author analyzes the provisions of African law regarding the protection of folklore and offers several recommendations for Vietnam.
