Abstract
Trẻ sinh non và trẻ nhẹ cân liên quan chậm tăng trưởng trong tử cung đều có gia tăng nguy cơ rối loạn chức năng thận ở tuổi trưởng thành. Việc hiểu rõ ảnh hưởng của những yếu tố lập trình thai và các tác động của môi trường bên ngoài tử cung lên khối lượng nephron ở trẻ sơ sinh non tháng là rất quan trọng. Từ đó giúp chúng ta nâng cao nhận thức về nhóm trẻ sơ sinh có nguy cơ để phát hiện sớm rối loạn chức năng thận và can thiệp thích hợp.
Abstract
Children born premature and low birth weight related to intrauterine growth retardation show increased risk of kidney dysfunction during adulthood. A clear understanding of the effects of fetal programming and the extrauterine environment on nephron mass in premature infants is essential. Hence, we can improve our awareness of at-risk infants in order to detect earlier their kidney dysfunction, allowing appropriate interventions.
