Determining the basic chemical composition of Artemia Franciscana Biomass

Abstract

Analysis of the chemical composition of Artemia biomass to determine the value of the original materials for the process to help make preservation methods and processing logically, and to minimize losses after preserving and the best value to its inherent nature. The results showed that the content of Artemia biomass consists of : 57.74% protein, 26.78% lipid, 7.81% ash, 7.68% total amino acid; the quality indicators: NH₃ nitrogen,  total volatile basic nitrogen, peroxide index are lower.
