Research on building a data warehouse and data mining

Abstract

The building of a database has been studied for a long time, and there have been many tools and solutions proposed by some development and support companies. However, the work of building a data warehouse and data mining is a relatively new concept, even though they are also based on the database, they have their own distinct characteristics, and been studied in the recent years when more and more volumes of data have been stored on the computer and the Internet, and in some places, the volumes are up to terabytes. The big databases management systems such as Oracle 1xi, SQL Server 201x,... have currently been building their tools to support the data warehouse development and data mining. In the fields of business, banking, telecommunications... the building of data warehouse and data mining has become popular and brough about enormous efficiency. This article analyses and provides some deeper insight into the construction of a data warehouse and data mining.
