Abstract

This experiment is designed to determine the most suitable conditions and media for in vitro propagation Magic S fig (Ficus carica L.) and growth of in vitro plants in acclimatization. For shoot regeneration from in vitro shoot tip and axillary node, the half-strength Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium containing 1,5 mg/l and 10% coconut water were the best, whereas, the half-strength MS medium complemented with 1mg/l IBA and 10% coconut water were better in respect to rooting. Rooted plantlets were acclimatized successfully after two months transferred to green-house and grown in a 1,5:1,5:1 (v:v:v) sandy soil, coir andcattle munure mixture with watering 2 times per day.
