Rebirth motif and retribution motif in some Vietnamese contemporary novels

Abstract

Contemporary Vietnamese novels have made innovations in narrative methods, including the attempts to use and renew ancient motifs. In this article, we focus on exploring rebirth motif and retribution motif in some typical works. Thereby, contributing to asserting the values and foothold of the above-mentioned motifs in creating a very unique identity of the modern narratives.
