Species components and distribution of seagrass at Thuy Trieu lagoon, Khanh Hoa province

Abstract

Survey results on seagrass in Thuy Trieu lagoon at 9 stations have identified 6 species of seagrass, belonging to two families Hydrocharitaceae and Cymodoceaceae. Halodule uninervis, Halophila ovalis, and Enhalus acoroides are among the dominant species. Thuy Trieu lagoon has an average species diversity compared to Nha Phu lagoon and Cam Ranh bay. The density, biomass, and coverage of seagrass beds in here have significantly decreased in comparison with the previous survey results.
