Integration of Buddhism and Vietnamese Folk Beliefs through some ceremonies and customs

Abstract

Buddhism was introduced into Vietnam from the beginning of the BC. Many ceremonies and customs in the folk life have their relationships with the Buddhist ceremonies and customs. The ideology of Buddhism has been penetrating into the Vietnamese people’s life. Such an intergration has made significant contribution to enriching the Vietnamese cultural identities.
