Poverty reduction in Phu Yen province (1995 – 2015)

Abstract

In the years after the provincial re-establishment, Phu Yen was a poor province whose economy was primarily agricultural, with high percentage of unemployment; and people's lives were very difficult. Therefore, Phu Yen has always paid much attention to the work of poverty reduction, in order to stabilize the people's lives. With great efforts, the government and people of Phu Yen have successfully carried out the work of economic development, in association with the poverty reduction through each period; contributed to improve the material and spiritual life of the people.
