Community tourism development to sustainable – case study of Hoa Da rice paper craft village (Phu Yen province)
Abstract
In 2022, Phu Yen rice paper craft village, including Hoa Da village (Tuy An district) has been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the potential and status of community-based tourism development in Hoa Da rice paper craft village. From there, we propose solutions to develop community-based tourism in a sustainable way, including building a community-based tourism model of Bau Sen - Hai Thom rice paper craft village. We use mainly qualitative method through in-depth interviews with craft villagers and local leaders.
