Digital Transformation in Agriculture: Benefits, Challenges, and Technology Solutions

Abstract

Digital transformation is the fastest and most effective way to achieve sustainable agriculture and towards the new era of “Agriculture 4.0”. Besides the strong potentials, digital transformation in agriculture is facing many challenges such as financial resources, digital technology infrastructure and human resources with low digital competencies. The paper analyzes some fundamental benefits and challenges of digital transformation and introduces some priority technology solutions in the agricultural sector.
