Teaching method innovation – solutions promoting the self-study competence of pedagogical students at Phu Yen University

Abstract

The essence of the credit system training method is to promote students' proactiveness in the learning process. The new general education program requires pedagogical students to immediately approach and carry out teaching tasks in high schools after graduation. Therefore, self-study is a particularly important factor and determines students' learning outcomes. Innovating teaching methods following a positive direction and promoting students' self-study ability is a necessary solution at universities. This innovation should take place in two directions: preparing a clear outline, leson plans must be concise, clear-cut, and presented in an interactive manner; and during the entire teaching process, interwoven activities must be organized.
