Intensifying English reading comprehension skills for 10th graders through integrating multiple intelligences activities

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of integrating multiple intelligences activities to develop English reading comprehension skills for high-school students in Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province. Data related to English academic scores were recorded and analyzed. The T-test and standardized mean difference (SMD) formula were implemented via SPSS to measure the effectiveness of the tests before and after the intervention. The research results indicated that integrating multiple intelligence theory into teaching activities has brought in positive impact on participants’ English reading comprehension skills.
