Application of digital simulation for designing the profile of a cam cylinder that needs translation according to the trace method

Abstract
The content of the article presents the method of designing cylindrical cam profiles by tracing. The essence of this method is copying the contour of the contact part of the cam that needs to create the cam profile, applied when complex motion of the cam is required. Through numerical simulation, the graph of dynamic factors including velocity, acceleration, force, and power has been determined. The results of this study are applied in the design of cylindrical cam mechanisms in three-dimensional models as a basis for creating design drawings and facilitating precise machining of cam profiles on 4-axis or 5-axis CNC machines.
