Learning Chinese through movie clips is becoming an effective and engaging method for learners. The long-standing use of traditional teaching methods has led to a decline in students' attention and motivation, as there is no real interactive language environment. Therefore, many higher education institutions have integrated information technology into the curriculum design, and the use of movie clips has been applied to enhance teaching effectiveness and improve the quality of language training. Based on the results of previous studies, the author has selected and collected 20 speaking practice videos, extracted from Chinese films. To evaluate the effectiveness of this method, a 12-week teaching experiment was conducted with 120 students at Sao Do University. The research results indicate that the use of movie clips in teaching Chinese speaking skills has had the following positive impacts.
