FACTORS AFFECTING CHANGES IN EMOTIONAL MANAGEMENT SKILLS OF PRESCHOOL TEACHERS IN HO CHI MINH CITY
Abstract
The study uses document analyis and questionnaire to investigate factors affecting changes in emotional management skills of preschool teachers. There are 389 preschool teachers from 25 kindergarrtens in Ho Chi Minh City joined the study. The research results show that there are six models predicting the changes in emotional management skills of preschool teachers. The variables include preschool teachers’ awareness about emotional management and emotional management skills, communication in schools, opportunities for promotion, temperament and work pressure and degree of attachment to work. The paper also suggests effective measures to help preschool teachers in Ho Chi Minh City improve their emotional management skills based on the results of the study.
