CULTURAL DIPLOMACY IN VIETNAM’S FOREIGN POLICY

Abstract

 

 

In the 21st century cultural diplomacy has played an important role in each country’s foreign policy. This article discusses positive changes in Vietnam’s foreign policies together with the deployment of cultural diplomacy in order to increase its soft power toward other countries since the end of the Cold War. Promoting cultural diplomacy activities is a golden opportunity for Vietnam to actively integrate into the world with the aim of promoting the country, the people, and the culture to the world. Cultural diplomacy is of many practical ways to help promote the development of political and economic diplomacy so as to increase the nation’s soft power and to empower its position in the future.
