Abstract

The Fourth Industrial Revolution (or FIR) implies a transformation process of investment, production, business, consumption, personal governance, family governance, corporate governance and national governance based on smart technologies. As a result, the emergence of a wide range of new phenomena in social, economic and political fields may challenge the traditional orders and modes prescribed by current laws. Therein lies a big question on how countries should effectively respond to these new phenomena, especially in a unprecedentedly rapid pace of technological change. Vietnam is not an exception. This article articulates requirements for renovating Vietnam’s current legal thinking in response to impacts of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
