The Compositions of Female Writers in the First Two Decades of the 21st Century in the Contemporary Chinese Literature

Abstract

In the contemporary Chinese literature, which is characterized by literary movements mainly consisting of radical literature, avant-garde literature, feminine
literature, Linglei literature and internet literature, female writers have achieved many successes and gained a firm place in the literature where women are portrayed and the role of female authors are upheld. The paper explores the compositions of Chinese female writers from 1949 to the present featuring female consciousness and female characters in real life. It also indicates that their development trend is increasingly keeping pace with the times, making innovations in writing styles as well as themes, topics, trends, and character building.
