Local Authorities’ Role in Creating an Environment for Marine Economic Development in the Northern Coastal Region

Abstract

The large scale of the marine economy is reflected in the fact that there are many participating subjects, each of which has a different position and role in each development stage to contribute to a complete system. In particular, local governments play a crucial role in creating an institutional and managemental environment which supports marine economic development. This article analyzes the current role of local Northern coastal governments in supporting marine economic development.
