The Role of the Grassroots Political System for Sustainable Poverty Reduction

Abstract

Sustainable poverty reduction is one of the global sustainable development goals, a leading task, program, and policy of countries who implement social development goals. There are a variety of factors influencing the process which include economic growth, modernization process, natural disasters, epidemics, climate change, as well as leadership, organization, management, and implementation capacity of the political system at all levels. The article focuses on analyzing the current situation of Viet Nam’s poverty reduction and the role of the grassroots political system in poverty reduction. On that basis, it proposes solutions to promote the role of the grassroots political system for sustainable poverty reduction.
