Local Knowledge in the Use and Protection of Water Resources of the Mnong Ethnic People in Dak Lak Province

Abstract

Local knowledge, which conveys lessons on how people should behave with the surrounding environment to survive and develop, is a valuable cultural heritage that creates the unique identity of an ethnic group. The article analyzes local knowledge in the use and protection of water resources of the Mnong people in Dak Lak province, examines the issues, and on that basis proposes a number of solutions to preserve and promote its values, facilitating the sustainable development of natural resources in Dak Lak province in the current context.
