Abstract

Social enterprise is an organizational model that aims to solve social and environmental problems in a business manner, which has important significance in social development. While social enterprises abroad has a significant contribution to promoting the development and access to development opportunities of social groups, in Vietnam, despite certain progress, they have yet been supported in a systematical and comprehensive manner. There have been several different interpretations of the concept and criteria for determining social enterprises in Vietnam. Experiences of some Asian countries could be a useful reference for building and perfecting legal regulations and policies for social enterprise development in Vietnam.
