Abstract

Managing social issues arising in the process of socio-economic development is one of the fundamental tasks of the central and coastal local governments in the North Central and Central Coast regions. Experience in managing social issues in coastal localities worldwide indicates that managing social issues therein needs to be closely combined with economic, social, environmental management, national security and defence, and it’s necessary to encourage the participation of people, businesses, and socio-political organizations. In addition, to attract widespread support from the people, it is essential to effectively propagandize, enforce and monitor social security policies. Based on that analysis, the paper proposes some implications to improve the management of social issues for coastal localities in the North Central and Central Coast regions.
