Abstract

On the basis of inheriting and developing the nation’s traditional values, while embracing progressive ideas on independence and freedom from peoples around the world, President Ho Chi Minh established a comprehensive system of views on national independence and freedom that reflects the inevitable laws of the Vietnamese revolution. His thought on national independence holds profound theoretical and practical significance for the Vietnamese revolution, both during the struggle for national liberation and in the current period of national construction and defense. This article analyzes the core content of Ho Chi Minh’s thought on national independence, thereby drawing out its theoretical and practical implications for the Vietnamese revolution.
