Abstract

Higher education in Vietnam today faces a huge challenge in changing its training methods and models to become an important pillar in the national innovation ecosystem. In the digital age, higher education not only focuses on providing knowledge but also has to respond to the rapid changes of the digital world. The driving force behind the digital age is the global digital transformation process to comprehensively and fundamentally change the way society develops, its lifestyles and activities on digital platforms. In the field of higher education, the application of digital transformation will help students develop comprehensively, both in learning and in practicing soft skills, teamwork and creative problem solving. The article focuses on the current status of digital transformation application, innovation in training methods in higher education in Vietnam in the past five years, clarifying some benefits and barriers that this transformation brings, as well as solutions to these problems.
