Achievements and Composition Features of Some Prominent Group of Novelists in China in the Early 21st Century

Abstract

There exist more or less cultural dissimilarities among different regions in the vast country of China, which makes for distinctive groups of writers. The paper examines the achievements and composition characteristics of five novelist groups in Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Shanghai provinces and western China in the early 21st century. The novels of each group of writers have their own literary values and styles of writing, which defines the Shanghai School (a group of Shanghai writers), Beijing School (a group of Beijing writers) or Beijing - Tianjin School, etc.
