Abstract

Since science and democracy are two major aspects that have a dialectical relationship in the thought of John Dewey - the most famous American philosopher in the first half of the twentieth century, they create the consistency in his philosophy of education. That is reflected in the rich and vivid contents of educational theory in many of his monumental works. “Democracy and Education” by John Dewey deeply conveys his thoughts and philosophies on education and the relationship between education and democracy.
